What to Expect

When you call LawLine (1-866-534-5243), in many cases you will only receive advice. The advice is provided by a paralegal, and you may not actually speak with an attorney. Please have your paperwork ready at the time of the call. If you are not calling about your legal problem, please have the person with the legal problem call us.

If you have been scheduled for an appointment with one of our attorneys, please come prepared. Here are some tips to help you prepare:

Where:  Please refer to the maps of and directions to our locations to help you find us. If traveling is difficult for you, please let us know.

When: Please arrive about 15 minutes early for your appointment. You will be asked to review and update the information you provided in your screening application.

What to Bring: Documentation requested by the intake paralegal and any paperwork that might relate to your case: notices, court papers, contracts or agreements you have signed, photos or anything you think might help the attorney understand your case.

Reminders: If you expect a return phone call, please leave us a telephone number (with area code) at which we can reach you. Make sure that your voicemail is activated and not full in order for us to leave a message. If you do not have a phone, your number changes, or is out of service, please let us know.
