Jeremy P. White, Esq., the managing attorney of the Lynchburg office of the Virginia Legal Aid Society (VLAS) has been selected to receive the Legal Aid Award from the Virginia State Bar (VSB). This award will be presented to Jeremy at the VSB annual meeting in Virginia Beach, VA on June 19, 2015. Jeremy has worked for VLAS since 2002, and has been Managing Attorney in the Lynchburg office since 2005.
Jeremy was nominated for consideration by VLAS’ Executive Director, David Neumeyer: “Jeremy White excels as an innovative, creative and successful advocate, an experienced and excellent supervisor and office leader, and as a litigator and trainer who has impact far beyond the VLAS service area.” VLAS is grateful to Jeremy for his commitment to our mission, and his exceptional dedication to making a difference in the lives of our clients.
Robert “Robin” C. Wood III has served on the Board of Virginia Legal Aid Society since 2011, and will be receiving the Tradition of Excellence Award from the Virginia State Bar on June 20, 2015. In a statement announcing the award, the VSB recognized Robin as “a lawyer who embodies the highest tradition of personal and professional excellence and who has benefited the community and enhanced the esteem of general practice attorneys in Virginia.” VLAS has been pleased to have Robin serve on our Board, and joins the VSB in honoring him for his years of outstanding service.
