Through generous gifts, VLAS is able to offer skilled legal advice and representation to people in need so that they can have safe, stable homes; gain financial protection; access health insurance and public benefits to meet basic needs; and overcome many other challenging circumstances.

A federal law requires us to inform donors that all funding received by Virginia Legal Aid Society is subject to restrictions.  These restrictions prohibit us from filing class actions and representing many types of aliens here from other countries, and require us to collect and share information with auditors.  Please contact us if you would like more information.
